Motoring pundits predict class-leading future values for the new Insignia
Used values for the new Insignia have received favourable predictions making Vauxhall’s new car an even more attractive option.
Experts predict the residual values for Insignia will out-perform those of the car’s Ford, Citroen and Volkswagen rivals because of Vauxhall’s commitment to build a high quality car with improved features.
According to EurotaxGlass’s, the publisher of Glass’s Guide – the motor industry’s used car valuation ‘bible’ - suggests that the new £18,962 Insignia 2.0 CDTi (130ps) SRi 5dr will retain 37 per cent (£7,000) of its purchase price as a trade value after three years and 60,000 miles.
Over the same three-year, 60,000-mile period, EurotaxGlass’s predicts lower trade values for the comparable Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi (140ps) Zetec five-door (34 per cent), Citroen C5 2.0 HDi (140ps) VTR four-door (36 per cent) and VW Passat 2.0 TDi (140ps) Highline four-door (35 per cent).
